Fresh Logo Design Concepts Where To find Them?

Fresh Love (free desktop wallpaper)

Whether you are a small business looking for a perfect logo design, or a graphic designer seeking inspiration, you will find out that most interesting ideas are already used. A good deal about logo revolves around its unique concept which ultimately makes it more attractive in the eyes of the audiences.

So where do you look for fresh ideas? And how you make sure that you still deliver an image that is not only a unique logo design concept but also delivers the intended message. This message is to deliver a positive image of the business, products and services or the brand it is representing.

The first step of the design process is the creative brief. This is where the client explains what they want in their logo design. During this time the communication between the client and the designer can play a great role. If they can get each other right they can work together to come up with some truly unique and perfect. Sadly this communication does not work most of the time.

The real inspiration comes from the real world. Most designers and artists would tell you that they find the outsides really motivating to keep something new and unique. So chill out and take a long walk, look around the world and observe it. Even if you don't get something interesting to spark inside your head, you will surely get your mind clear and you can restart your creative brainstorming.

The web is also a good place to find inspiration. Many logo design artists contribute their works to websites such as logopond or the flickr. Go there look at these logos, while at flickr you can also browse through the millions of photographs that people have shared.

Business Web Design Goals and Typography

95% of Web Design is Typography

Typography plays a very important role in design. Whether it is a logo design or a website design, typography not only assures usability it could also assure the desired response. In terms of web design typography is sometimes considered to have a certain limitations. Such as installing fonts, cross-platform compatibility and display devices issues.

In general we are talking about the fonts used in a business website design. What kind of fonts a business website should use? Since we believe in the usability and the simplicity of design, I would recommend that a general set of guidelines should be followed:

1. Font Size

Make sure that your business website design uses a font size that is neither too small nor too large. The problem with using small font size is that some of your users may have visibility issues and they would find small fonts difficult to read. On the other hand using large fonts increases the scroll length of a page, and also increases the page size.

2. Font Color

The basic principle of usability is to use font color that is easy to view on the background color you are using. It is highly recommended that you use light background colors and dark font colors so that reading is easier. Also it makes your web design look simple and not too complicated to scare users away.

3. Font Family

It is true that most web users would have Microsoft Windows installed on their PCs. However a large number of people also use Mac and Linux based operating systems. Choosing a font set in your stylesheet is the main part of the overall design process of a website. You need to make sure that your website is ready to be viewed on platforms. Using generic font families as the last priority in your stylesheet guarantees that your website does not look the impact and visual appearance of the design when viewed on different operating systems.
